SCHOLASTIC WRITING AWARDS 2008 RESULTS
 
 
 

Scholastic India is pleased to announce the results of Scholastic Writing Awards 2008 for outstanding original works by students of Classes IV to IX, in the categories of short story and non-fiction prose in English.

Thank you for the overwhelming response. This year we received over 3000 entries from across India.

An expert committee of educators, authors and editors selected the winners on the basis of Content, Style of writing, Language and Presentation.

Top 25 entries from each Group and Category will be felicitated:

1st Prize:   Grolier Student Encyclopedia (17 volumes), Certificate of honour & Rs 1500
2nd Prize:   Grolier Science Experiments (10 volumes), Certificate of honour & Rs 1000
3rd Prize:   Special Scholastic Book Hamper, Certificate of honour & Rs 500

The other 22 entries will get a special Scholastic Book Hamper and a Certificate of Honour. Top 3 entries from each Group and Category are:
